Maria Mylaraki – Piano
Maria-MylarakiMaria Mylaraki was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. From the age of seven, she studied piano at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki, where in 1997 she graduated with distinction. At the University for Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz, Mylaraki studied under Annamaria Bodoky-Krause and Chia Chou, where she completed Master’s Degrees in piano and chamber music with distinction. Furthermore, she currently is a doctoral candidate of Harald Haslmayr.

She has received scholarships from the Austrian Ministry for Education, Science and Culture and from the Greek foundation for state-scholarships.

As a soloist of various orchestras—amongst them the Orchestra of the University for Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz—as well as in recitals (e.g. Festival Dimitria in Thessaloniki, Vafopouleio Art Center), Maria has performed in numerous European countries. She also participated in productions for the Greek Television and Radio (ERT) and for the Austrian Broadcasting Company (ORF).

Further artistic inspirations were provided through international master classes held by Malcom Bilson, Brand Fredriksen, Thomas Duis, Julia and Konstantin Ganev, Janna Polyzoides, Katherina Polyzoides, Gregor Weichert, Rudolf Kehrer and Maria Asteriadou.

Maria Mylaraki´s work largely centres on contemporary Music, which brought her to the international course Impuls and to the Ensemble Zeitfluss. She is a winner of several prizes at national and international piano and chamber music competitions.
